Grain in January
The 2006-2007 winter was unusually warm, the warmest of the last two hundred years, according to the official data collected by the 'Italian Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (ISAC) of the National Research Council (CNR), which keeps a bank of meteorological data of the last two centuries. The production cycles have been overturned. In the fields around Rome harvesting of typical products of the spring season already begun and the market stands are full. In the fisrts days of January in the outbounds of the small town of Deliceto, in Daunia, wheat has already sprouted, sprying over the fields geometries of fresh green.
