5 new sigma lenses
PMA 2009: Sigma announces five new zoom lenses: two economic wide range telephoto zooms (50-200 f4-5.6 & 18-250 f3.5-6.3), one economic normal zoom (18-50 f2.8-4.5), one high end normal zoom (24-70 f2.8) and a high end ultra wide zoom (10-20 f3.5).

50-200mm f4-5.6 DC OS HSM:
It is a revision of the budget optic 55-200 f4-5.6 DC with Optical Stabilization (OS) and a built in silent wave motor (SWM) as a plus. The lens incorporates SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass in the front lens group and is equipped with an inner focusing system to provide high image quality throughout the entire zoom range. It exclusively targeted to reduced format camera. It will be available in mounts for Sigma, Canon, Nikon DSLRs bodies and Sony and Pentax wich already have built-in image stabilization.

18-250mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM:
It's an ultra wide range zoom with a 13.8 times zoom ratio. It sports the shake reduction system by Signa, the OS. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 45cm (17.7 inches) at all focal lengths and a maximum magnification of 1: 3.4 reproduction ratio. It exclusively targeted to reduced format camera. It will be available in mounts for Sigma, Canon, Nikon DSLRs bodies and Sony and Pentax wich already have built-in image stabilization.

18-50mm f2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM
A standard zoom designed for cameras with APS-C/DX sized sensors only with Os system integrated: a nice feature addition rarely implemented in a standard zoom. It is an upgrade to its predecessor. Two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements and three Aspherical lenses provide correction of aberrations. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. It will be available in mounts for Sigma, Canon, Nikon DSLRs bodies and Sony and Pentax wich already have built-in image stabilization.

24-70mm f2.8 IF EX DG HSM
A large aperture, compact and lightweight, standard zoom lens for all sensors formats from 35mm to Aps-C/DX. The lens has a HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) for a quiet and high speed AF wich do not interfere with manual focusing. The minimum focusing distance is 38cm/15" with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.3. The rounded 9 blades diaphragm should creates an attractive bokeh blur. ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass, two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements and three aspherical lenses ensure correction of aberrations. The Super Multi Layer Coating (SMLC) reduces flare and ghosting.
It will be available in mounts for Sigma, Canon, Nikon DSLRs bodies and Sony and Pentax wich already have built-in image stabilization.

10-20mm f3.5 EX DC HSM
An ultra-wide angle zoom with an aperture of 3.5 designed for cameras with APS-C/DX sized sensors. The lens has a HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) for a quiet and high speed AF wich do not interfere with manual focusing. Two ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass and a SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element and four aspherical lenses ensure correction of aberrations. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 24 cm / 9.4" and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.6. The lens design incorporates an inner focusing system which eliminates front lens rotation and permit the use of polarizing filters.
It will be available in mounts for Sigma, Canon, Nikon DSLRs bodies and Sony and Pentax wich already have built-in image stabilization.
