Earthquake in Abruzzo
L'aquila, Onna and Paganica in the first seventy-two hours.
This is a testimonial that narrates the events that occurred in Italy in the city of L'Aquila and in the small towns of Onna and Paganica. An extraordinary documentation of the first seventy-two hours that followed the catastrophic earthquake which took place on the night of 6 April 2009. With an accurate journalistic motivation, the photographer Alessandro Barteletti wanted to be a witness and show the drama, the emergency, and the aid, through images that have already become an icon and an important memory of those moments and of those places.
The photographs by Alessandro offer a work done with respect for the pain and the intimacy of the affected population.
All picture with kindly permission of Alessandro Barteletti.
